WELCOME TO THE RADIO-FREE COMICKS NEWS NETWORK!
April 26th
Just wanted to tell everyone--I'm gonna be looking into setting up a /Radio-Free Comicks/'Spark' webcomic host with Wordpress (or whatever software ends up the simplest to use) over the next couple of weeks. Any comics illustrators ready to try their hand, we got scripts--and GREAT ones, from many talented authors. The idea by now, obviously, is that we're not limited to Golden Age reboots, and we're looking into possibly doing a couple of quarterly webcomic anthologies, with similar themes/universes--doing them as 'print on demand' collections of weekly or semiweekly comics pages. We're planning two so far--my old idea for SPARK COMICS QUARTERLY, and a new 'Horror/Serio-Comic/TV Cop Show on Paper' called ARKHAM BLUES, set in modern day, alternate dimension Arkham, Massachusetts.
It's ALL spec, of course--but if money is made, everyone will profit. I know...'exposure, blahblahblah...', but I've got this theory that I'd like to prove...that with proper promotion/advertisement, good work sells. Anybody interested, please contact me.
Thanks, Jim Ritchey

Hello, Everyone!
Welcome to Radio-Free Comicks! You've found the place where all the cool kids hang out. We are attempting to be a News Network for Indy and cutting-edge, classic and 'literary' Superhero, Adventure and Horror-oriented Comics and Graphic Novels. Our intent is simple--to be a place for you to see previews and reviews of material that other more corporation-obsessed Comics Sites are bound often by prejudice to inevitably ignore, while including material by the 'Big Two' we might find interesting. Anything that goes beyond the boundaries of the mediocre, mundane, rehashed, cloned, plot-driven and processed, you will likely find some mention of here. If you follow characters rather than creators, general art styles rather than artists, you likely won't find this place very interesting. Many here believe the Independent Market is a vital necessity in the improvement of the comics field, the only source of diversity and a barrier against stagnation, that has long been neglected. We are hoping to change this.
We are Member-Content-Generated, so if you like our general philosophy, you are more than welcome to be a part of the team, or to just hang out. There are some fine creators here already, so of course creators are more than welcome, and will be provided full access to advertise their own work.
Thanks, Jim Ritchey
WHAT'S GOING ON:
Hey, Creators--I'm gonna start listing things here besides my own crap, so send me HTML to copy and paste!
